You can book an Agile coach and unpack this topic in detail at your next work meeting.
The video is the first in a five-part series aimed at product directors and product managers who own the roadmap. Its focus is on laying the foundation for planning, tracking, and collaborating on product change by tightly connecting high-level vision with team execution. We emphasis “aligned autonomy,” removing friction between the roadmap and day-to-day work by keeping everything visible and integrated.
We outline the core foundations needed to make this work:
a single, shared board.
a clear visual.
a regular cadence or rhythm for review.
a simple ceremony to ensure it gets attention.
and clarity on who maintains it (typically the product manager or product director).
While objectives will be reviewed more frequently, the vision board should be revisited at least every 6–12 months. The key is to keep it simple and centralized so everyone can see the same source of truth.
Practically, we demonstrate a straightforward Kanban board with three columns —To Do, In Progress, Done— used to host vision statements as cards. For each new vision item, you add it to the board, refine the title and definition so it’s clear and “anchorable,” assign an owner for accountability and questions, and then prioritize it relative to other items. Only once an item is well-defined and prioritized should it influence objectives.
