You can book an Agile coach and unpack this topic in detail at your next work meeting.
This video, part of a series on foundational alignment for teams, in this video we explain how to use a single board to manage project work and collaboration. We focuse on how product owners and Scrum Masters can lead the process of breaking down objectives into key results (also called features) and managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions) at the team level.
We walk through a series of "ceremonies" or meetings. The first is a refinement session, where a product owner, with the help of the team, refines objectives and creates new key results. This process helps teams progressively prepare for quarterly planning, where they commit to a certain amount of work for the quarter based on their capacity. The speaker shows how to assign effort estimates and a target quarter to each key result, giving the team autonomy to deliver the work. During this session, RAID items are also captured on the board, ensuring all potential roadblocks are visible and owned.
After planning, the team can use the same board for sprint-to-sprint check-ins (often called Scrum of Scrums or SOS). Here, the focus is on a few priority items and their progress, and any issues or risks are addressed. The final ceremony is the review, where the team uses the board to see what's been completed and what's still in progress. The video emphasizes that this single, visible system eliminates the need for redundant documentation and ensures that all information is live and accessible to everyone.Â
The next video will cover how teams manage and track their work to achieve these key results.
